The first era of generative audio was defined by the Black Box: input text, wait thirty seconds, and receive a finished, flattened MP3. For novelty and viral memes, this was revolutionary. But for serious producers, artists, and sound designers, it quickly exposed its ceiling: total loss of structural intent, inability to automate individual stems, and zero repeatable control over timbre or dynamics.
